What’s your role within the business?

I’m the Finance Director at Arbury Motor Group, having direct responsibility for the Accounts department and the financial assets of the business.

How long have you worked here?

I joined Arbury on 26^th April 2014, some eight years ago.

Tell us about your journey with Arbury.

Originally, I joined as Financial Controller before being appointed as Finance Director on 1^st September 2021.

What do you love about working here?

There are constant challenges working at Arbury, and there’s never a dull moment.

What’s your biggest accomplishment?

Two accomplishments stand out:

1. People development – Two of our existing Dealership Accountants originally came to us as trainees. Our Financial Controller and the Leamington Accountant came to us from more junior positions in other motor groups. Since joining Arbury, they’ve been coached and developed to the point where they’re able to fulfil the responsibilities and exceed the demands of their role.

2. Guiding the business through a pandemic in such a way that we were able to look after our team, as well as meeting and successfully overcoming the financial challenges that presented themselves to us – at times on a daily basis.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally – it’s doing a great job, and developing an empathetic and rewarding environment through which both the individual and company mutually benefit and develop.

Personally – I’d say my family and friends.
